Today we are talking about a small but powerful micro computer that is really essential for those who are starting to do astrophotography, we are talking about ASIAIR PLUS , a very small computer designed by ZWOptics that offers a really well done software inside. ASIAIR PLUS is a Wi-Fi device capable of controlling everything, our equatorial mount, the focus of our telescope (for the automatic focus it is necessary to buy ZWO EAF ), our guide camera, our reflex, etc ... everything through the use of a tablet or smartphone.
I had the pleasure of seeing it at work and I assure you that it is not only well done, but it is also simple to configure and use.
But let's see it in detail, let's start with the doors that are placed on the sides of the "little guy"
The front side is equipped with an input for the 12v power supply and the dual band Wi-Fi antenna (2.4ghz and 5ghz) which allows us to have a range of 20 meters.
Compared to the previous ASIAIR PRO version, the new ASIAIR PLUS is equipped with a USB Type-C port and a slot to add a micro sd that allows us to increase the internal space to store our photos and videos.
But the surprises do not end there, because our ASIAIR PLUS offers us 4 12v outputs to connect the power supply of our equatorial mount or our cooled astro camera or any other device with 12v output.
The software is easily managed by downloading its dedicated App from the iOS AppStore or from the GooglePlay Store for Android devices
Just connect it to its Wi-Fi network and activate the ZWO user license, select our mount, our cameras (main and guide), the focal length of our telescope, and ... as the ZWO motto says: as easy as 1,2,3
