Description
The EQMOD cable was designed to be able to use SynScan Sky-Watcher mounts (except the NEQ6) at their best, thanks to the open source EQMOD program. The interface has the task of acting as an intermediary between the Windows PC and the equatorial mount and will allow direct control of the mount. To use it, you must install and configure the ASCOM platform as per the included manual or as per the guide you find on our portal. In this way it will be possible to access a whole series of functions that are impossible to perform with the keyboard alone: more precise "Go-To" pointing, guidance system (via ASCOM), satellite tracking, polar alignment, synchronization, GPS support, etc.
The EQMOD cable is directly compatible with SkyWatcher EQ3-SynScan / EQ5-SynScan / EQM35 / HEQ5 / AZ-EQ5 / AZ-EQ6/ EQ6-R / EQ8-R and EQ8-RH mounts that have an RJ45 port. The NEQ6 mount is not compatible .
