Photographing Jupiter, Saturn or the craters of the Moon allows you to share the experience of night observation with friends and family. Live observation on the screen is also possible.

Deep sky astrophotography : The high sensitivity of this modern CMOS sensor makes photography of nebulae and galaxies much easier than it was a few years ago. These faint objects are difficult to capture, but thanks to the sensor's high quantum efficiency and low readout noise, details can be imaged that cannot be seen with purely visual astronomy.

Self-guided: it will no longer be a problem to find a suitable guide star! Thanks to the high sensitivity of modern CMOS sensors, even faint stars can be used. Tracking correction with short exposure times and high driving frequency compensates for large or small tracking errors on the part of the mount. The camera was created to be compatible with PHD2 and has an ST4 guide port: the ideal auto guide!

Well thought out shape: the robust anodized aluminum housing is shaped like a 1.25" eyepiece and fits any telescope. Thanks to its light weight, your equipment will not be subjected to additional stress. The camera is equipped with a thread for mounting on C and CS or (via an adapter) a normal 1.25" thread filter. Small CCTV lenses and a large selection of astronomical filters can therefore be connected without any problems.

Transmission: a filter protects the camera sensor from dust and moisture. Omegon Pro color cameras are equipped with an infrared blocking filter. CMOS sensors also measure incident infrared light and make correct color reproduction in the final image impossible. In contrast, Omegon Pro mono cameras have an anti-glare window, which in addition to visible light, also lets in ultraviolet and infrared light. So, by using additional filters you have complete control over the transmission curve - a key requirement for advanced photographic or photometric applications.

Practical photography software: The Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software, which is included, allows for simple and easy-to-learn camera control. Correct camera settings are crucial to successful astrophotography. AstroPhotoCapture gives you full control over all essential parameters - without having to navigate through an overloaded interface. Simple tutorials explain the image capture process step by step to successfully crown your first night of astrophotography. The software is compatible with Windows 8 and 10.

Compatibility: Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with a wide range of acquisition software via the common ASCOM and INDI interfaces. Native compatibility with a growing number of programs such as PHD2 and NINA is also available
