H-alpha is a common narrow band filter, with a narrow passing range in the red wavelength at 656 nm. It lets only small parts of oxygen emissions pass through and blocks unwanted wavelengths. It allows you to discover unimaginable details of hydrogen nebulae.

The new models (EOS 6D II, EOS 5D IV) Not allow the use of this filter! The filter prevents the usual movement of the flip mirror when capturing images. With EOS 6D II and EOS 5D IV this leads to an anomaly in the operation of the camera.
