Description
Astrolumina Alccd-QHY 5III 174c - fast color CMOS camera
ALccd-QHY 5III 174 is the first model of a series of new USB 3.0 cameras. It is an excellent camera for solar, lunar, planetary, and meteoric photography, as well as a highly sensitive, low-noise camera for deep-sky photography.
With a standard C-mount 50mm f/1.4 lens, you can reach 8th and 9th magnitude stars live in a video stream at 30 frames per second (about 30ms exposure time). This offers a new dimension in high-sensitivity HD video photography!
Sensor and shutter
In the color ALccd-QHY 5III 174, the integrated sensor uses global shutter mode (Pregius TM) technology that combines high frame rates with high-quality image results similar to those of CCD. Other highlights include lower noise level, higher quantum efficiencies, and ways to set higher gain values.
The global shutter prevents blurring / pixelation of moving objects, for example, even artifacts caused by atmospheric movement at higher frame rates in lunar / solar / planetary photography.
The housing The shape of the housing
is designed so that the camera, like the proven ALccd-QHY 5-II models, fits on standard 1.25" focusers or adapters. The fins ensure rapid and selective dissipation of the heat that occurs during exposure.
The rear focus is minimal, so that the camera can also be used in most off-axis drivers for automatic guidance. The Lemo connector on RJ12 is robust and compatible with most of the editing controllers on the market.
The ALccd-QHY 5III 174 camera is also available in a monochrome version.
Requirements of
system The camera has advanced electronics that require a PC with USB 2.0 support. Maximum performance can only be achieved with a powerful USB 3.0 computer.
The operating software is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10 and supported by 32 and 64 bit.
