2.5" full frame flattener for 80/102/115mm triplet refractor telescopes.
It only flattens the field without reducing the focal length; it screws directly onto the M68 thread of the focuser and on the camera side there is an M48 thread with 55mm backfocus.
The flattener is a lens that flattens the field of view which is slightly curved by the primary optics. The curvature causes less definition of the stars at the edges of the field of view. The flattener, also known by the English term field flattener, corrects this effect. Astrophotographers can thus take well-defined photos even at the edge of the field of view. The flattener mounts between the telescope and the camera.
