Description
The planetary and driving chamber ASI 120MM Mini of ZWO allows you to take excellent planetary photos. The improved electronics and the now mature software lead to very high sharpness of the planets and the Moon. Furthermore, you will have pinpoint stars even with long exposure times, because the ASI 120MM Mini is also a powerful autoguider.
The ASI 120MM Mini camera for the Moon and planets : the high resolution of 1280x960 and the small 3.75 µm pixels pave the way for sharp images of Solar System objects. Thanks to the high brightness of the sensor you can have extremely short exposure times, and therefore practically "freeze" atmospheric turbulence (seeing).
Enter video astronomy with the ASI 120MM Mini camera : with 35 images per second at full resolution you can take a wonderful flight over the lunar surface. Or shoot ultra-sharp planetary images in a very short time, choosing only the frames with the best atmospheric conditions from the video.
The ASI 120MM Mini as an efficient self-guider : with this camera self-guiding becomes easy. With just 6 grams of weight, it weighs less on the focuser than a 1.25" eyepiece. Even with small guide telescopes or with off-axis guides the camera always finds an adequate polar star. In this way the point stars even with long exposure times become the norm. Thanks to the ST4 interface you can easily connect your camera to the autoguiding port of your mount. The corresponding cable is included in the shipment, while the drivers can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
