Description
Narrowband filters increase contrast by only allowing specific wavelengths of light corresponding to certain spectral lines across, for example hydrogen (Ha, 656nm), oxygen (OIII, 501nm), sulfur (SII, 672nm), etc. The filters can always be used for photography, even when the Moon is in the sky, or as light pollution filters in cities. Exposure time plays no role here - even long exposure photography can be undertaken.
The new IDAS NBZ Nebula filter is a dual narrowband filter for the H-Alpha and OIII regions.
