The nights are not always as clear and dry as one would like. If a layer of condensation forms on eyepieces, lenses or Schmidt plates, observation is compromised. Compact and always ready
Simply practical: At the beginning of your observation, wrap the heating band around the tube or eyepiece. It fits the instrument like a glove and can be fixed using the adhesive strap. After observation you can put it back in the eyepiece case. The heater for your telescope allows you to always have clear optics, and is always at hand.

Keeps condensation away from your optics
Connect the one meter cable with RCA connector to a suitable power supply. The 12 V direct current distributes the energy of just 0.2 watts per centimeter evenly across the headband. This means that your heating belt effectively keeps the temperature a few degrees above the outside temperature: condensation has no chance. Furthermore, the band requires a minimal amount of energy and therefore has minimal impact on your battery.

The heating band can be connected to a pulse regulator and therefore operates at reduced energy. Tip: we recommend the Omegon control for anti-condensation heating systems as an accessory, which allows you to connect up to two heating bands at the same time, regulating the power individually.

Why do your optics fog up?
The effects of condensation on an optical surface are well known to all eyeglass wearers. It forms on a cold object that is in a warmer environment. Suddenly, a light mist of tiny water droplets forms as the warm air condenses on the cold surface of the lens. The same happens with the lenses of your telescope: as the optics cool, water condenses on the surface. But the time has come to always have clear images!
