Following the unprecedented popularity of the lens macro Close-up NiSi Macro for 67, 72 and 77 mm lenses , we have once again listened to our customers and produced the NiSi NM-180 macro focusing shoe .

The biggest challenge for macro photographers is keeping the camera perfectly still in 3D space. Moving even a millimeter can make the shot miss, it's easy to lose critical focus even with a tripod. This is why a micrometric slide is essential. The hot shoe allows precise control over the distance between lens and subject, the NM-180 NiSi has a length of 180mm and an available area between 125 and 145mm (1.25mm travel per rotation), it can be used on a flat surface or by removing the pins it can be fixed on a tripod.

For dual axis (4 motion) control , you can stack the two systems at 90º to each other.

Characteristics

The NiSi macro focusing rail is compatible with the Arca-Swiss attachment and is equipped with a plate with Arca-Swiss quick coupler . The long plate is designed to make it easier to lock and release the camera even with telephoto lenses. The bottom of the rail includes 3/8″ and 1/4″ mounts for all tripod heads compatible with this format (actually all heads on the market, but we always recommend checking). There are four (removable) pins that allow it to be used directly on a table. The slide is 180 mm long and has an adjustment range between 125 and 145 mm depending on the position of the plate (1.25 mm travel per rotation of the knob). Both sides of the track have engraved markings to further facilitate precise positioning.

Construction

The NiSi focusing rail is made of high-precision computer numerical control (CNC) machined aluminum and has an anodized corrosion-resistant finish.
