Description
LRGB Filter Set - Astrophotography with CCD monochrome cameras
Four filters for a color image: With the LRGB filter set you can photograph the sky in color with a monochrome chip. Monochrome CCD astronomical cameras capture Deep-Sky objects at high resolutions because all the pixels on the chip work for the same image. With color CCD chips the resolution is reduced because ⅓ of the pixels are used for the color image.
With a set of LRGB filters and a monochrome camera you can use all the chips for high resolution shots.
L - The luminance filter
The luminance filter lets all visible light through and blocks the near sector of UV and IR light. Therefore, with the luminance filter, all the information of the object is captured.
RGB - each filter has its job
The three letters of RGB indicate three different colored filters thanks to which color images are obtained. The colors that we perceive derive from the fundamental colors Red, Green and Blue. From these all the colors we know are generated. Our eyes also mix all the colors of our world with internal RGB receptors (or filters).
During the image processing phase, the four images of the LRGB channel are combined. This is how the color image is generated.
Advise: To photograph with the LRGB filter set use the Omegon filter wheel to change filters in seconds.
The advantages at a glance:
- LRGB filter set for color images with CCD monochrome cameras
- Complete chip resolution thanks to four different color filters
- Durable: Anti-scratch coating
- Natural colors for Deep-Sky objects and planets
