Description
Optolong Venus ultraviolet filter
The U Venus filter allows you to take images (CCD, DSLR, Video) in the ultraviolet spectrum and thus make cloud structures in the atmosphere of Venus visible. Many cameras are sensitive in wavelengths between 350 and 1100 nm. The filter lets light pass between approximately 320 and 400 nm (UV). However, your camera must not have a UV/IR blocking filter, because otherwise the light let through would be blocked a priori. Some refractor lenses also block UV radiation. So: the ideal telescopes are Newtonians and RCs.
The advantages at a glance:
- It allows you to photograph Venus in the UV spectrum
- It features multi-layer anti-reflective treatment
- Precision optical polishing up to 1/4 lambda on both sides of the substrate
Attention, this filter must never be used alone for observing the Sun!
