What is the difference with a normal tripod head? If you want to photograph the starry sky with a small mount, then you certainly know this question. You can also point a tripod head at the North Star, but that's not what it was designed for. It offers free movement in many directions - but alignment remains imprecise and you need to know exactly how the tripod head behaves to shoot successfully.

An equatorial head makes everything easier for you! Just like a large telescope, it helps you align your camera exactly to the north celestial pole, just to the exact degree with the ability to repeat this operation at any time. This helps you get better tracking photographs or use telephoto lenses successfully.

Better azimuth and altitude adjustment

At night, nothing should be left to chance: especially in the dark, it is important that everything works well and immediately. The azimuth and elevation adjustments work perfectly: the stainless steel screws make it easy to set the required elevation and azimuth.

Accurate level

A level you can rely on: elegantly integrated into the equatorial head, so you will find the exact horizontal position for your tripod.

A stable hold for any Vixen-style dovetail plate

A flat, lateral clamp holds your tracker or mini-mount in a stable position. One great thing: where other models provide locking with a single screw, the Deluxe Equatorial Wand provides a strong yet very gentle grip.

We have attached great importance to a very slim design. Even when the astrotracker is attached, the screws remain freely accessible.

Made with CNC-fabricated components, the equatorial wedge not only looks good, it feels great too. We produce it in small quantities in our factory in Portugal.
