Description

The optics Vixen N 130/650:

A small but valuable tool for those taking their first steps in the starry sky. Discover the fascination of star clusters, galaxies and nebulae. There are too many objects to list them all here. With this aperture you can already make numerous observations and try astrophotography.

The advantages at a glance:

  • compact and mobile
  • ideal instrument for beginners and with various possibilities

The Porta II is a rugged alt-azimuth mount with a load capacity of 20lb and features flexible Slow Motion cables to minimize vibration and keep the image sharp. It is very useful for searching and tracking celestial objects.

The mount head removes easily to allow you to upgrade to a sturdier tripod. Furthermore, it is an excellent mount for terrestrial observations. Without lockup or friction, the gears make tracking planets or a ship on the horizon very easy: just turn the elevation and/or azimuth control knobs. The Porta II allows slow motion control in both axes, features a solid center pivot for easy tripod switching, flexible cables, and an accessory tray.
