ZWO EAF AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC FOCUSER - ADVANCED (5V)

EAF , the electronic automatic focuser from ZWO. This motor enables precise and dynamic focus control for deep-sky and planetary imaging. It can be connected to most focusers on the market.

ZWO EAF works with all acquisition software supported by the ASCOM platform . The focuser also complements the ASIAIR imaging and control system. Control the entire image sequence from a smartphone or tablet, even from the inside!

Constructed with an all-metal housing , the attractive red color matches ZWO cameras.

The advanced version of the EAF includes an external temperature probe and a hand controller .

Introducing 5V EAF, this electronic focuser, like its previous version, enables precise and dynamic focus control for deep-sky and planetary imaging, while connected only to a 5V USB port .

Compared with the old version of the EAF focuser, the main change of the 5V EAF is to eliminate the need for a 12V power port. You can now connect it directly to your camera, laptop or ASIAIR PRO via the USB 2.0 port and use one cable for both data transmission and power! This greatly simplifies cable management, as well as reducing the need for additional power outlets.

The innovative decorative pattern of the EAF is inspired by the changes of the Airy disk during focusing showing how the focusing curve gives local minimum to best - giving an easy explanation of how EAF works with just a glance on the cover!

There are two variants of the 5V EAF:

Standard version : EAF body, flex coupling, motor bracket, USB 2.0 cable.

Advanced version: EAF body, flexible joint, motor bracket, USB 2.0 cable, hand controller, temperature sensor.

You can purchase the standard version first, and then purchase other accessories to upgrade in the future.

The hand controller casing uses environmentally friendly ABS material. It has a 3.5mm female socket. The design aims to give you the best ergonomic grip, so you can focus (pun intended J ) on capturing images!

The hand controller provides an easy method to focus the telescope, with IN and OUT buttons, a 2 gear display, slow and fast speed control.
