Omegon module finder - finder and guide for small telescopes
Not all telescopes can hold a large guide scope and two heavy mount rings. How to deal with those small telescopes that have already reached the load limit of the mount? Or do you simply want to benefit from a compact guidescope?

That's what the Omegon module finder is for. This mini guidescope can be easily inserted into the finder scope of your telescope, and you can already start photographing nebulae and galaxies.

The compact guide scope for immediate use
Modern autoguider cameras are so sensitive that large guide scopes are no longer required. Generally short focal lengths work noticeably better with autoguides, as accidental overcorrection is no longer a problem. Why use a long telescope when a compact one is significantly more practical?

This is where the Omegon Modulfinder comes into play: This tiny guidescope has an aperture of only 50 mm and is suitable for every Synta/Vixen finder mount. For telescopes up to approx. 1500 mm focal length the Modulfinder is perfect: you will save a lot of time, because setting up a guide scope has never been easier.

Three adjustment screws to the guide star
The Omegon Modulfinder has, like a normal finderscope, three adjustment screws to allow you not only to adjust the optics of the guidescope and finderscope on the telescope, but also to search for the brightest guide stars in the vicinity.

The finderscope that accepts any eyepiece
You can use the Modulfinder both as a finderscope and as a guide scope. When you're not shooting, you can easily find objects in the sky, just like a finderscope, by attaching a crosshair eyepiece or any focal length eyepiece to locate your objects.

The finder module has a 1.25-inch opening in the back that allows connection to most autoguider cameras. However, each model has a different back focus and the seeker module manufacturer cannot know which guiding device will be used. For this the backfocus has generous measures. Normally 1 or 2 extension rods with product number 33231 are sufficient to approximately reach the point of focus. For a reproducible focus position, we recommend an additional locking ring with product number 45773. Precise focusing is achieved via an adjustment ring on the lens side.
