Off-axis guidance - to chase the stars lightly

Off-axis guidance allows you to easily track stars for your astronomical photos. It will not be necessary to mount large and heavy guide scopes; everything becomes much simpler, especially if your telescope can only carry small loads.

The off-axis drive is extremely compact and lightweight. For this reason it is also ideal for photography with small telescopes/mounts.

The simple operation of off-axis guidance

The off-axis guide simply attaches to your 2" focuser. On the camera side it offers a T2 fitting, which is the standard for any camera. If you shoot with a DSLR, then you will also need a T-ring, that's it.

A small portion of the light passing through the off-axis guider is deflected onto a lateral prism. A 1.25" opening allows you to place your reticle eyepiece or autoguider. As soon as you have a suitable guide star centered in your field of view, you are ready to go.

Long exposure times - astronomical photos with point stars

You will certainly have already seen several astronomical photos of imposing galaxies with enormous spiral arms, reddish emission nebulae, star fields with thousands and thousands of stars. All of these photos required long exposure times and can be taken using off-axis guidance.

You can precisely control the tracking and obtain images of deep-sky objects with perfectly pinpoint stars.
