Omegon Powerbank 10k – portable power supply for small GoTo telescopes!

A big advantage of most small GoTo azimuth mounts is how easy they are to transport. But this mobility is greatly reduced when you have to carry even heavy rechargeable batteries with you. These powerful energy accumulators are often oversized for smaller telescopes. Until now the only alternative was to equip the mount with batteries, but in this way the telescope consumed large quantities of them.

The high-quality and compact Omegon Powerbank 10k is kind to the environment and your wallet! It is very light and does not reduce the portability of your tools. Even the uncomfortable fiddling with the battery compartment is missing: the Powerbank 10k only needs to be connected to the 12 V socket of the mount.

The Powerbank is a rechargeable Li-ion battery with a capacity (native, @3.7V) of 10000 mAh, which corresponds to 37 Wh, or 3 Ah at 12 V. A small mount can be powered for about 4 -6 hours.

An integrated function protects not only the power bank but also the connected telescope against short circuits, overloading, deep discharge and stress.

The 12V socket (5.5x2.1 center positive) fits most mounts. Warning: MEADE frames unfortunately require a different grip (5.5x2.5). The Omegon Powerbank 10k can be used for small azimuth GoTo mounts. Among which:
