Having mounted the camera or telescope on a tripod it is not easy to move from one point to another. A bird perched on a branch could fly away at any moment. A long wait and endless patience and then not even a photo - it shouldn't be like this. With the OM12 ball head the movements are smooth, reliable and fast. It's wonderful a ball head moves smoothly and smoothly. That's exactly what we want: to quickly move the camera over an object. The unique smooth motion is an advantage that allows you to move quickly and freely.

However, it is also possible to infinitely adjust the clutch according to your wishes. This too allows free and precise movements - and the ball head acts like a friction joint that you can adjust as you like.

One modification for many purposes

It's really rare to be able to modify a system with a ball head. In this case it is

possible. Remove the mounting profile and attach it to a dovetail rail, for example. There

tripod head will become a stand for telescopes, astrophotography or other special purposes. The

profile has a 3/8" thread in the center and 2 M5 screw holes on the sides
