Artemis-M Pro KIT configuration tutorial (Demo with Poseidon-M Pro):
New polygon design
cutting edge like a normal hexagon is very Player One, the cameras cooled DSO we want to make it more beautiful and practical. The Artemis-M Pro (IMX571) cooled camera is developed by Player One Astronomy, it is designed for advanced DSO imaging. adopt the Sony IMX492 monochrome sensor 4/3" format. There pixel size of 2.315 um hosts a depth of 18.6 Ke with a total of 48 MP (resolution is 8288 * 5648 ) e the diagonal is of 23.2 mm .
When taking deepsky objects, using the sensor's tilt plate you can achieve a much smaller field curvature of the telescope. We adopt rear adjustment and 4-point tilt plate, it has many advantages in using.
4 Point adjustment is easier to know which corner is needed to adjust. The built-in high-density sponge shading pad can block the light from the side slits without any side leakage.

To understand the 4-point adjustment method, we have made an example for users:

Player One cooled camera series uses 2-stage TEC cooling unit, after improving the structure design to reject heat in the camera chamber, the camera Delta-T can reach further 40°C .
As an improvement, the DDR3 cache in cooled cameras is increased to 512 MB. Helps stabilize and protect data transmission, effectively avoid frame dropping, and greatly reduce reading noise.

With DDR3 cache, the camera no longer has high processing demands, it will still have excellent performance even if it is connected to a USB 2.0 port.
Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) cooled camera based on Sony STARVIS technology , it is back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors.

The IMX492 sensor has 48 Mega pixels native , non You need to unlock nothing and it doesn't need any technology to do it . After knowing this, the following description will be very easy to understand.
12bit Depth: IMX492 has 12bit on-chip ADC. When using the BIN1 mode , IMX492 has 48 mega pixels, the pixel size is 2.315 um, and the bit depth is 12 bits (4096 levels).
14bit Depth: When using the BIN2 hardware mode , IMX492 will have 11.7 mega pixels, the pixel size is 4.63 um, and the bit depth extends to 14 bits (16384 levels).
BIN1 and BIN2 will also cause the full well, FPS and read noise to be changed.
Software BIN supports BIN2, BIN3 and BIN4 modes (and we provide Sum BIN and Average BIN), but Hardware BIN only has BIN2 (Sum BIN) mode.

The back of the cooled camera has 2 Type-C data ports and 12V DC 5.5×2.1mm power port.

The main data port supports USB3.0 protocol, the camera can run 8fps in RAW8 mode. The Type-C port is easier to connect when assembling imaging equipment at night.
When recording images, because the actual writing speed will be affected by the writing speed of the hard disk itself, when the writing speed of the hard disk is slow, recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data and give full playback to the camera's performance.
The camera has a 12V DC5.5*2.1mm port to provide enough power to the TEC cooling system. If you don't need to turn on the cooling, just connect the main Type-C port, the camera will work as an uncooled camera.

At gain = 0, the camera has a dynamic range of 13 stops and a maximum capability of 65.8Ke and a full well, readout noise is 7.8Ke.
HCG open at gain = 120, the camera has 12.97 stops dynamic range and 14.5K full fine, readout noise drop to only 1.8e.
Under RAW8 mode, Artemis-M Pro cooled camera can run 33FPS @ Hardware BIN2 mode and 8FPS @BIN1 mode.
That's much faster than existing models on the market.
Regarding readout noise, we solemnly promise that all values are obtained from actual tests. And for users, you could use Sharpcap 4 for testing. SC4 has a function called Sensor Analysis , provide a very simple way to test readout noise.

Seestar S30pro. L'ho preso nonostante avessi un S50, per avere la possibilità di raddoppiare le foto a parità di tempo. Trovo ottima la qualità del sensore e del'ottica per il mio uso amatoriale. L'angolo di visuale (FOV) è più ampio rispetto all'S50 ma dato che il sensore ha risoluzione maggiore (4K rispetto a FHD) la qualità a parità di ingrandimento è molto simile. Il piccolo treppiedi fornito fa il suo dovere ma consiglio un treppiedi più strutturato per la comodità di utilizzo senza accovacciarsi e per un uso più eficace e siuro in accoppiata con i cuneo equatoriale che consentedi utilizzare il modo EQ che da fconsente foto con esposizioni più lunghe e catturando più luce rispetto al modo Atl Az.
