Cassegrain telescopes combine the advantages of a Newtonian telescope by being a pure reflective system with a short build design. In terms of optical quality, Cassegrain telescopes are superior to usual Schmidt-Cassegrain systems. Cassegrain telescopes are mainly used for photography of the moon and planets and for observing astronomical objects. Thanks to the highly sensitive sensors integrated into modern astronomical cameras, deep-sky photography of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies is also possible.

The TS-Optics Cassegrain is a versatile telescope

As a result of the 99% reflection of the primary and secondary mirrors, the image is significantly brighter. The field sharpness is also better, because the image field is basically flat.
