Maksutov Optics :
A Maksutov telescope is very compact and therefore perfect for on the go , or as a travel tool. The closed optics and the stability of the adjustment make the Maksutov very robust and, despite the compact structure, these telescopes are equipped with long focal lengths . For this reason the field of view, compared to an achromatic, is rather small. This configuration makes Maksutov telescopes ideal instruments for observing of the moon and planets . Equipped with an Amici prism, this optic is also perfect for nature observation and photography.
New : This telescope now ships with the upgraded Hexafoc focuser , which has a diameter of 65 mm! For astrophotography in particular, the focuser can be equipped with a 1:10 mechanism for fine adjustment (see "Recommended accessories") of the focus.
The frame Bresser EXOS-2:
The EXOS-2 is a sturdy mount with high range (heavy optics up to 13 kg) and precise tracking for visual observing but also for astrophotography. A double grooved radial ball bearing on both axles ensures precise running, and the optimal seating of the AR axles leaves no play. This frame, decidedly robust and well made, makes astrophotography accessible at an affordable price. It is possible to add an external push-button panel to control the motors in both axes.

The GoTo system for EXOS 2 from Bresser allows even beginners to observe celestial objects after a few minutes which without a GoTo they would be difficult or impossible to find . Just press a button and the GoTo system searches for planets, nebulae or galaxies for you and automatically positions the telescope . The database contains more than 100,000 objects and also has space for custom items , which can be stored. Observe without long searches with a Messier series optics and the GoTo system or photograph objects of low intensity that you could not reach with traditional search methods!
