Description

Ultra Light Dobsonian 254mm GENERATION II - with completely redesigned and improved construction

No type of telescope has affected amateur astronomy so radically as the Dobsonian telescope. Before the introduction of this type of telescope by John Dobson, the vast majority of amateur telescopes were small refractors in flimsy mounts - barely good enough to show the polar regions of Mars or the rings of Saturn. Larger telescopes, such as Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, were reserved for the relatively small group of amateurs who could afford them. The ingenious combination of a simple - but effective - mechanic with maximum aperture has led to a worldwide victory for this concept. No other type of telescope offers as much light for your money as a good Dobsonian.

Taking into account the motto "held together by gravity and driven by yoghurt power" we bring you a modern version of a classic - developed by fans for fans. Despite its large aperture this telescope can be transported easily, even in small cars, and can be assembled in minutes without tools. The construction is optimized for maximum stiffness with minimum mass. The combination of large height wheels with an optimized aluminum sandwich construction allows small movements even at high magnifications. The focuser position is already positioned to accept our coma corrector. The ideal "workhorse" for deep-sky observers. A telescope with an aperture of 254 mm collects more than 1300 times more light than the human eye. Details on the surfaces of the planets become visible to even the most inexperienced observers, and countless deep-sky objects show their structures. The bright globular clusters are clearly visible up to the core and the sight of the moon terminator will give you an unforgettable experience.
