Ultra Light Dobsonian 406mm GENERATION II - with completely redesigned and improved construction
No type of telescope has changed amateur astronomy as much as Dobsonian telescopes. Before John Dobson's introduction of the Dobson telescope, the vast majority of amateur telescopes were small-lens telescopes with primitive mechanics, just enough to see the polar caps of Mars or the rings of Saturn. Larger telescopes, such as Schmidt-Cassegrains, were reserved for a wealthy clientele. The ingenious combination of simple but effective mechanics with the largest possible aperture gave the Dobsonian telescope a unique triumphal march in the world. Nowhere do you get as much light for your money as with a good dobsonian. We took into account the principle "Held by gravity and driven by the power of yogurt" (powered by gravity and fueled by the energy of yogurt) and created a completely redesigned modern Dobsonian telescope with a truss tube. The disassembly of the device allows the problem-free transport of this large device even in small cars - the structure is completely without tools in a few minutes. The entire construction has been optimized for maximum stiffness without neglecting weight. The combination of high-height wheels with an optimized aluminum sandwich construction enables the best correction movements at maximum magnifications. The focal position has already been prepared for the use of our coma corrector. The ideal workhorse for the deep sky observer. A device with a mirror diameter of 406 mm collects more than 3300 times more light than with the naked eye. The details on the planets are visible even to untrained observers, and countless deep-sky objects show structure. The brilliant star clusters are resolved to the core and the sight of the Terminator on the moon becomes an unforgettable experience.
