A very compact and complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light .
The LS50THa solar telescope offers a clear aperture of 50mm, a focal length of 350mm and provides a bandwidth of <0.75 Angstrom. The telescope is equipped as standard with the Pressure-Tuner pressure tuning system , the Etalon is securely installed inside the telescope. The bumps and surface details can be easily seen, for example over coffee. This extremely compact system is an ideal travel companion wherever you go.
A B400 blocking filter is installed inside the diagonal. The B400 is great for visual observation of the sun. Focus is achieved by a non-rotating helical focuser.
Please note that this telescope has only a small back-focus, so solar imaging is very difficult. The LS50THa is designed for visual solar observations. Therefore, the 60mm LS60THa telescopes are recommended for imaging.
Additionally, double-stacking is possible with bandwidth reduction of just <0.5 Angstroms using the optional LS50C filter (0550210). This filter can be directly attached to the LS50THa telescope and will provide much more contrast and even more detail on the sun will become visible.
