Description
The Omegon Pro veTEC571 C camera is equipped with the new Sony IMX571 sensor. With a pixel size of 3.8 µm, this APS-C format camera is the big brother of the veTEC533 C.
- High quantum efficiency (~80%)
- Less read noise (~1.5e-)
- High Full-Well-Capacity (50,000 e-)
- ADC: 16-bit
- Zero Amp-Glow effect: no amplifier noise
Fully professional deep-sky astrophotography : The huge sensor is perfectly suited for extensive nebulae, star fields or the lunar surface. Unlike most astrocameras used for planetary photography this sensor is comparable to the large sensors of DSLR cameras.
Thermoelectric Cooling: the cooling system reduces image noise. Up to 40°C below ambient temperature, the noise caused by the dark current is almost completely gone. Furthermore, the sensor's exact temperature control is very useful for calibrating astrophotographs with dark frames: they can all be taken at the right temperature. The images are very low noise.
USB Hub : Two additional USB ports on the back of the camera reduce cable tangling! Other devices (e.g. a driving camera) can easily be connected to this hub. An additional cable connection to the PC from each individual device is a thing of the past!
The camera can be adapted to almost all systems of astrophotography - thanks to the T2 thread and the focal length of only 17.5 mm. A 2" adapter also allows a connection to the telescope like any other 2" eyepiece.
The robust carrying case supplied is padded with foam material. So you have nothing to fear if you want to transport your precious camera. It is absolutely safe.
Professional astrophotography of the planets, the Moon and the Sun: the shadows of Jupiter's moons, the divisions in Saturn's rings, the detailed mountain ranges on the lunar surface and the imposing protuberances on the sun - these impressive objects in our solar system can only be photographed at a high frame rate: this it freezes the turbulence in our atmosphere (so-called seeing), which usually makes small details unrecognizable. Thanks to the sophisticated electronics and the high data transfer rate of the USB3.0 cameras, this technique from Lucky-Imaging is now child's play. We recommend the Region-Of-Interest function of the included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software: This allows you to optimize the capture rate, because only the relevant part of the sensor is read.
Transmission: a filter protects the camera sensor from dust and moisture. Omegon Pro color cameras are equipped with an infrared blocking filter. CMOS sensors also measure incident infrared light and make it impossible to reproduce colors correctly in the final image. In contrast, Omegon Pro mono cameras have an anti-reflection window, which in addition to visible light also lets in ultraviolet and infrared light. Then, by using additional filters you have complete control over the transmission curve - a key requirement for advanced photographic or photometric applications.
Practical software for photography: The Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software, which is included, enables simple and easy-to-learn camera control. Correct camera settings are crucial to successful astrophotography. AstroPhotoCapture gives you full control over all essential parameters - without having to navigate through an overloaded interface. Simple tutorials walk you through the image capture process step-by-step to cap off your first night of astrophotography with success. The software is compatible with Windows 8 and 10.
Compatibility: Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with a wide range of acquisition software via the common ASCOM and INDI interfaces. There is also native compatibility with an increasing number of programs such as PHD2 and NINA
