Description
Omegon advanced off-axis guidance - Follow the stars with ease
The Omegon off-axis guider offers you an easy way to track your telescope during astrophotography. You don't necessarily have to mount a large, heavy guide scope, because there is an easier way. Does your telescope not support large loads and you don't want to overload it?
The off-axis guider is extremely compact and weighs only 200 grams. For this reason it is the ideal solution for taking photographs with smaller sized telescopes/mounts.
Off-axis guidance is so easy to use
The off-axis guide mounts and attaches easily to your 2'' eyepiece. On the camera side it features a T-2 thread - the standard for problem-free adaptation to your camera. If you use a digital SLR camera, all you need is a suitable T-ring, and that's it.
When light passes through the off-axis guide, a small portion is deflected onto a small lateral prism. You can now mount your reticle or autoguiding eyepiece on a 1.25" aperture. As soon as you find a suitable guide star in the field of view, you can start immediately.
Long exposure times - Point astrophotographs
Surely you have already seen some very beautiful astrophotographs. Stunning galaxies with imposing spirals, nebulae with red reflections, star clusters in which infinite stars are enclosed as if in velvet. All of these photos were taken with long exposure times - photos that can be taken with off-axis guidance.
Now you can precisely control the tracking and take deep space photos with perfectly pinpoint stars.
