OMEGON TRACKING MOTOR SET FOR EQ-320
€89,00
The tracking motor set for EQ-320 telescopes
As soon as you have managed to frame an object in the field of view of your optics, it disappears shortly after. For this reason, you should rely on a motorized drive for your telescope to save yourself from constant manual tracking. A good accessory for beginners, who want to orient themselves more quickly in the sky or who want to risk their first attempts at astrophotography.
The advantages at a glance:
- Tracking motor for self-tracking of the RA axis that compensates for the movement of the earth's rotation: objects always remain in your field of vision
- Manual control unit with four selectable star speeds: 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x
- Suitable for visual observations and astrophotography
- 12V motor powered by a set of batteries or an optional power supply
Convenient observation with self-tracking
After aligning your telescope on the first reference point, you can keep an eye on the stars and planets already chosen, exactly in the center of the field of view. Without manual tracking, you can just concentrate on observation and look at every detail calmly - and even show them to friends and family.
The motor then moves the telescope at the appropriate stellar velocity. You can select between 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x speeds, allowing you to make fine and coarse adjustments to the positioning using the manual control unit.
Anywhere on earth
It doesn't matter where you are: with your telescope you can observe from anywhere as you like. It also works in the Southern Hemisphere. With the N/S switch, you simply adjust the automatic direction of rotation of the telescope.
The first steps towards your first astrophotography
This EQ-320 accessory obviously improves the comfort of your viewing experience, but autotracking is also essential if you want to try your hand at astrophotography. It makes long exposures of an object possible without blurring. The Moon, individual lunar craters and planets can be wonderfully captured.
