Omegon f/4 Astrograph: for unforgettable astrophotography
Which telescope guarantees great photos with the least possible effort? Compared to conventional telescopes, the Omegon astrograph makes everything easier. Why? The answer is obvious: with an f/4 focal ratio, exposure times are short and at the same time bright. Immerse yourself in the deep world of deep-sky photography and marvel at faint galaxies or the countless details of emission nebulae. The Omegon astrograph sets a new standard in astrophotography…
The advantages at a glance:
- f/4 astrograph: Ultra-fast focal ratio telescope for short exposure times
- Thanks to the short structure it is also suitable for medium-sized frames
- Wide field of view for extended objects: approx. 24 mm of illumination
- Parabolic primary mirror, 94% reflective treatment for bright images
- Large secondary mirror - great lighting for DSLR cameras
- 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 gear and 1.25" reduction
- Faster Cooling for Faster Observations: Fan for primary mirror
f/4 primary mirror with 94% reflectivity
Astrographs are well suited for visual observations, but show their true potential in astrophotography. With a focal ratio of f/4 these instruments belong to the "fastest" Newtonian telescopes, ideal for photography with short exposure times.
The secondary mirror and the BK7 parabolic primary mirror have a 94% reflective coating and therefore deliver bright, high-contrast images. Compared to an 88% "normal" treatment, the difference is noticeable.
No shadows - only light: large secondary mirror
Place your DSLR camera or a modern CCD camera on the telescope and admire the impressive illumination over the large field of view. Thanks to the particularly large secondary mirror (see also below), no shading is noticeable. Thus, even observing with a 2" panoramic eyepiece is a blast.
Fewer aberrations - more satisfaction in the picture
This telescope is compact, thanks to the structure and the particularly short focal length. In fact, compared to an f/5 optic, the astrograph is about 20% shorter. This means that the tube can also be used with medium-sized frames; therefore save on the cost of large and heavy frames, and concentrate on the quality of the optics.
An additional advantage: the short focal length makes the astrograph the perfect tool for observing large deep-sky objects. Also, this optic is more tolerant of small tracking errors than a longer focal length telescope. With minimal effort you will therefore obtain unforgettable astronomical images.
2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 gear ratio
With the Omegon V-Power focuser you have perfect focus on any celestial object. The 1:10 gear ratio, sturdy bearings and guide rail make this instrument stable and comfortable to use. Thanks to the optimized design, the focuser securely holds chambers up to 5 kilograms without shifting.
- Extremely precise: the focuser moves smoothly and precisely thanks to the stainless steel bearings and rail
- Heavy camera and eyepiece holders: no wobbling up to 5 kg
- 1:10 scale for precise focusing, with graduated scale
- Anti-reflection grooves for high contrast
- 2" with reduction to 1.25"
Faster Observations: Fan for the primary mirror
Just a low hum, but a big effect: the built-in 12V fan ensures that the main mirror is cooled up to 50% faster. This way your telescope reaches the optimal image quality faster. No more making you wait.
