The reason is a sophisticated optical design with high-quality ED glass for a crystal-clear image. Rack and 2.5" focuser with ball bearings
The 2.5" focuser is almost a space-saving miracle, as it is large enough to avoid vignetting. An ingenious hybrid technology from Crayford and a gear wheel makes it particularly robust and suitable for accessories up to 4 kg. Thanks to ball bearings the focusing is “soft" so you can easily obtain very sharp images. Through the ball bearings, the focusing occurs smoothly. A reduction of 1:10 for the finest corrections makes this focuser a complete tool. Exactly these features are appreciated by astrophotographers all over the world.
CNC tube for one of the best optics.
The tube of the Omegon Apo consists of a CNC machined metal construction with a sophisticated anti-reflection aperture system. The tube has been completely lined with a black velvet-like fabric.
Remove and secure the anti-condensation cap
The Apo anti-condensation cap can be removed and fixed with a screw. It can be returned for transport.
