Description
Large aperture for the small home observatory
The Omegon 140mm Apochromat is a telescope for astrophotographers and visual observers looking for maximum image quality and a large instrument.
Due to the size of the optics, it collects a lot of light and is ideal for small observatories or amateur astronomers with a fixed position. If you are not afraid of some bigger equipment, then this telescope can also give you wonderful astrological photos in less light polluted areas. The higher resolution also makes this telescope an expert for nearby double stars. Visual observations of the deep sky with high contrast also work particularly well with the 140 f/6.5.
The triplet lens is particularly sharp and uses high-quality FCD100 ED glass manufactured by Hoya in Japan with extremely low color deviation, which enables sharp planetary observations and impressive astronomical photos.
The advantages at a glance:
- Triplet apo lens with FCD-100 ED lens: High quality apochromatic lens with pure color and high contrast images
- Internal anti-reflection screens for even better contrast in observing and astrophotography
- 3.5-inch hybrid focuser with 1:10 reduction: also connects heavy accessories up to 10 kg
- Everything has been thought of: this telescope is equipped with CNC tube rings, GP mounting rail, search shoe and extendable dew cap. A telescope for astrophotographers to get you started!
Made for photos
perfect astrology The apochromat arrived in modern times, because the imaging from this telescope is nothing short of excellent. Thanks to the ED Triplet Apo lens with air gap, it relies on a particularly high-contrast and color-free image. At the heart of your astrophotography camera is FCD-100 glass from Hoya of Japan, known for its low color deviation. It treats nebulae and planets at very high magnification - the images remain clear and sharp even then.
A telescope for all astro enthusiasts who value a high-quality image.
More information about FCD100:
Thanks to technological innovation, Hoya has successfully optimized the mass production of FCD100 . An optical glass with extremely low dispersion, which even comes close to fluorite. By combining it with high refractive index optical glass, it was possible to achieve unprecedented innovative chromatic aberration correction.
3.5" focuser for full-frame sensors
With this huge focuser, all your problems are a thing of the past, at least those affecting your camera's lighting. Because you can use any camera from APS-C to full format and achieve perfect results thanks to the interaction of lens and focuser.
The focuser works on the basis of a hybrid technology consisting of rack and pinion (helical splines) and ball bearings. This means: The focus can be set butter-smooth and precisely, but the load capacity and stability are high. Now you can even mount cameras and heavy equipment weighing up to 10kg.
M63 thread connection (internal): In addition to the classic 2 inch connection (with 1.25 inch reducing adapter) for eyepieces and cameras, this tool also offers a 63 mm thread so that a flattener or reducer can be easily and stably attached.
The handle with two uses
Simply clever: With the practical carrying handle, you always have your apo in hand. Both during transport and when mounting on the stand. In addition, the handle also serves as a mounting rail for parallel-fixed accessories. So everything has its place: use a guide scope and a guide camera, for example.
Scope of delivery:
- Apochromat 140/910 in triplet with Hoya ED glass in an adjustable lens mount
- CNC manufactured pipe rings with 1/4 inch photo thread
- Extendable dew cap tube (outer diameter 145mm)
