Description
The AP 60/360 loupe is a great travel telescope!
Thanks to the adjustable dew cap, the telescope has a transport length of only 23 centimeters. This means that it can fit into almost any carry-on bag. Mount the apochromat to a tripod or astro camera mount, such as the Skywatcher's Star Adventurer. And you have an extremely light and compact astrophotography system!
Some of the characteristics of the apochrome:
- Clear, high-contrast images without color errors. These are almost completely corrected by FPL53 (Ohara, Japan) and lanthanum partner glass.
- Toothed 2" ball bearing focuser with reduction: Even heavy equipment, such as CCD cameras, can be focused precisely and held securely!
- M54x0.75 threaded connector for screw-on astrophotographic adaptations.
- Practical L-bracket with multifunctional plate and tripod thread (1/4"). This means that the apochromat fits on all tripods and, with the optional prism rails, on astronomical mounts.
- Always balanced, even when holding heavy equipment, you can simply move the stand up to 180°. So the apochromat can even balance a big camera.
This apochromat offers all sorts of possibilities for astrophotography, landscape or wildlife photography. The telescope provides an alternative to expensive apochromatic telephoto lenses. However, a concealer is needed. Links to suitable concealers are available in the accessories section
The compact apochromat is also suitable for observing: the image is brighter and higher in contrast than most spotting scopes, and the usable field is wider. There is a magnification range of 10x for an optimal overview and up to 15x for detailed observations.
Thanks to the generous working distance of 135mm from the 2" slot, a zenith mirror or Amici prism is always needed for observations.
