Description
ZWO's latest ASI120 camera is not only highly popular, but also features a large sensor with 13.4 mm diagonal .
The chamber produces 128 images per second at full resolution (1936x1216 pixels) thanks to fast data transmission USB 3.0. So it's excellent for lunar and planetary imaging - and with the right filter, even for solar. It also allows exposures from fifteen minutes , and then to shoot even weak objects.
You will receive everything you need to operate the camera : various adapters (2" and 1.25", and an M42x0.75 T-piece), a two-metre USB cable, an ST4 guide cable and a CD with the necessary drivers.
Resolutions supported with USB 3.0
12-bit ADC:
- 1936x1216 at 128fps
- 640x480 at 309fps
- 320x240 at 577fps
- 2X2Bin: 968x608 at 128fps
10-bit ADC:
- 1936x1216 at 164fps
- 640x480 at 397fps
- 320x240 at 740fps
- 2X2Bin: 968x608 at 164fps
(fps = frames per second, or images per second). Other ROI (Region of Interests) can be set.
The camera can also work with USB 2.0. However, it will clearly transmit fewer images per second.
